A low sperm count doesn't mean infertility β many men with this diagnosis go on to conceive successfully.
Sperm count, motility, and morphology are assessed together. Even a low count can result in pregnancy naturally or with minor assistance, depending on the other parameters.
Lifestyle changes (diet, reducing heat exposure, quitting smoking), medication for hormonal causes, or assisted techniques like IUI and ICSI can all significantly improve outcomes.
For very low counts, ICSI (where a single healthy sperm is injected directly into an egg) bypasses the count issue entirely and offers high success rates.
